The Obama administration responds with funding cuts to Texas in an effort to bully the state into funding abortion providers like Planned Parenthood and others. The AP reports : The federal government will stop funding a Texas health program that serves 130,000 low-income women because of a state law that bars abortion-affiliated clinics from getting public money, a top U.S. health official said Friday. Texas Governor Rick Perry blasted Obama’s Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius over the handing of the situation, saying : “The fact that the Obama administration would announce its decision to deny care for more than 100,000 low-income women during a press event before giving official notice to the state is a clear demonstration of the political motivation behind this decision,” he said in a written statement, adding that Texas officials are still waiting for official word on the decision. This episode makes is crystal clear how important funding abortion centers is to President Obama. Sadly, he is willing to sacrifice the health care of low-income individuals before ever seeing that his friends running the abortion industry lose money. When it comes time to take a stand, it is apparent who the Obama administration values most. LoveTheLeast8 Sad that Obama is putting funding for abortion centers over health care. http://www.facebook.com/people/Patricia-O-Joppien/1362578911 Patricia O. Joppien Sebelius will be out of work soon – I pray! Jilajig2 What a disgusting, murderous pig this “President” is. He is a complete disgrace! Ladawnabell It is the murdering pigs who kill their helpless defensless children. If they never wanted to get oregnant they should have used birth control! Whats their exuse now, “i was raped”!? If u vleed u sgould b on birth control. It keeps from accidents happening and stabelizes ur hormones. Its good all around. PROLIFE ALWAYS which side are u on??? Someone clearly needs to inform you Danblattenbauer I agree. Plus, the GOP Senator Kyl, (R) Arizona stated that these programs use 99% of their funding for abortions. If that is the case the GOP should be very happy with this decision. The GOP wants it both ways. Charlotte Birth control does more harm that it does good. It does, in fact, abort babies (though not as noticably), it retards the growth of the female reproductive system (if you are put on BC at an early age), it can help lead to cancer, and blocks the hormones (not stabilizes them). My suggestion as a teenage girl would be to not have sex at all. That iliminates the desire for birth control (because virgins can live without BC, I’m proof), illiminates the desire for abortion, illiminates the risk of STD’s, and keeps a girl’s self-worth high. What’s not to love? Charlotte Pardon my spelling. Clinton “If they never wanted to get pregnant, they should have used birth control” is a lousy argument, as according to Guttmacher Institute half of unplanned pregnancies are a result of failed birth control (and a good portion of that is because people weren’t using it correctly, which doesn’t mean they shouldn’t use birth control just that they need to be better educated on it). So it’s not that girls are going to abortion clinics because they haven’t been using birth control, but even whether they are or aren’t is irrelevant. The thing that matters is that the unborn are living human beings and deserve protection. Ladawnabell I do agree that the president is a complete disgrace though. He shouldnt hurt thousands of oeople cause hes not getting his way. What a baby. Starbrite It is people like you who are a disgrace! You should be grateful this is a free country. The are still many countries in this world where you would not be allowed to utter those words. You disrespect the off.......
